Caipirinha cocktail

The Brazilian national drink: Caipirinha. This cocktail had its heyday around the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Many tourists enjoyed it in Brazil and took it home. The backbone of the cocktail is Cachaca, which is similar to white rum. It is distilled from fermented sugarcane juice.

Rum Fashioned

Today’s cocktail is old school. I used one of my favorite rums, a Diplomático Single Vintage 2004. 2004 was one of the best years for the single vintage edition. It is very rich and has a deep flavor profile, including: raisins, banana, cinnamon, caramel, figs, chocolate, coffee, walnut, and vanilla.
