Recipe for rhubarb gt (gin & tonic)
Delicious and delightful recipe for a Gin & Tonic with homemade rhubarb gin.
We have the recipe from the book: “Gin – Your Guide to the Best Taste Experiences“, written by Jesper Schmidt. He writes the following about it:
“A G&T that tastes tart and sweet like a Danish summer. The homemade rhubarb gin has an elegant sharpness that goes really well with the sun-ripened strawberries, which also decorate the glass. The drink is mixed here with an Original Berries Tonic, which is a mild and smooth tonic with notes of lavender, citrus, and red berries.”

Notes
Rhubarb Gin Recipe:
Rhubarb is not just rhubarb. There are over 70 different varieties, and they can taste very different. In this recipe, two types of rhubarb are used: Wine Rhubarb, which is dark red with a strong fragrance and strawberry flavor notes, giving the gin a beautiful red color. And Victoria Rhubarb, which is light pink, has a floral scent, and pineapple flavor notes, adding both some sweetness and acidity to the gin. But use the rhubarb you can get. You may add some sugar if you prefer a slightly sweeter gin. This gin has a good balance between acidity and fruit, giving cocktails a fresh and clear taste of rhubarb. It is used in the above Rhubarb G&T. Also, try using it with a citrus-forward tonic or some mashed strawberries.Infusion time 5 days and requires a 1-liter glass with a tight-fitting lid.
