Ingredients

  • 35 gram Oatmeal
  • 55 gram Lentil Flour
  • 1 pcs. Onion
  • 0.5 pcs. Red bell pepper Chopped
  • 35 gram Sesame Seeds
  • 200 gram Water cold
  • 2 pcs. Carrots
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 3 gram Salt
  • Spices pepper, paprika, chili, and lemon juice
  • Butter for frying
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Peel the carrots and the onion.
  • Grate both on the coarse side of a grater.
  • Put oats, lentil flour, and sesame seeds in a bowl.
  • Add water, grated onion and carrot, pressed garlic, salt, and spices.
  • Stir the mixture well, possibly with an electric mixer. It should have the consistency of thick porridge.
  • Heat a pan with oil and add butter when the oil is hot.
  • Fry the fritters on both sides until they are golden and crispy.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Try replacing the grated carrots with other vegetables, such as zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, mushrooms, or beetroots. On a rough estimate, there should be about 3 dl of vegetables in the recipe.
You can add other spices, such as curry, cumin, coriander, or ginger. Fresh or dried herbs like oregano, thyme, or marjoram are also good.
