Recipe for warm potato salad
It is not without reason that we Danes have earned the nickname “potato Danes.” We simply love our potatoes.
Boiled, sous vide-cooked, hasselback, salt-baked – or as fries, chips, or potato salad – potatoes are a great side dish for many dishes and occasions. A good potato sandwich on a slice of juicy, homemade rye bread is also not something to be scoffed at.
Warm potato salad is true grandma’s cooking, and there’s something special about the creamy, tangy potatoes. Here is the recipe for grandma’s warm potato salad: An old classic in my family! It can be made with or without vinegar, but I know it as with vinegar 😉
I made it with regular vinegar, which is probably how it’s typically done, but you can certainly also use apple cider vinegar or apple vinegar.
If you’d like to add a bit of a twist, you can try mixing in a bit of mustard!
The potato salad is great as a side dish to many different things, such as sausages, meatballs, or smoked pork loin.
When you feel it’s time for something other than the usual boiled potatoes, you should definitely try making a warm potato salad. Yum!
