
Recipe for grandma’s meatballs – it doesn’t get any better!
Meatballs are a favorite among many, and in numerous homes, this dish is regularly on the table.
This recipe is for the classic Danish meatball made from ground pork, without any unusual spices or the like. It is simple and good, and it goes with everything!
Always remember to mix the meat thoroughly with salt before adding the other ingredients. This ensures the best final meatballs.

Grandma's Meatballs - it doesn’t get any better!
Equipment
- Bowl
- Frying Pan
- Hand Mixer
- Grater
Ingredients
- 500 gram Minced pork
- 9 gram Salt
- 1 pcs. Onion
- 1 pcs. Egg
- 150 gram Milk
- 24 gram Wheat Flour
- Pepper
- Butter for frying
Instructions
- Put the minced pork in a bowl.
- Add salt and stir the meat until it becomes sticky - you may use the dough hooks on an electric mixer.
- Peel the onion and grate it finely.
- Add grated onion, flour, pepper, milk, and egg to the meat.
- Mix the meat mixture well until the consistency is suitable.
- Place the bowl in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Stir the meat mixture again. It should be firm enough for you to shape it into nice, round meatballs.
- Form 10-12 meatballs and fry them until golden and cooked through in plenty of butter in a pan.
- Serve with your preferred meatball side dish!
