Recipe for colored carrots sous vide
The sous vide method is not only brilliant for cooking meat – far from it!
Here you get the recipe for perfectly cooked carrots using sous vide.
I used some different colored carrots, but the recipe is, of course, the same whether you use the “ordinary” orange ones 🙂

Colored carrots sous vide
Ingredients
- 6 Carrots
- Salt and Pepper from the grinder
- Butter a good dollop
Instructions
- Peel the carrots and season them with salt and pepper.
- Put the carrots in a vacuum bag and add a dollop of butter. Make sure the carrots are laid side by side with a slight gap between them.
- Now vacuum seal the contents of the bag.
- Cook the carrots in your sous vide at 85 degrees Celsius (185 degrees Fahrenheit) for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Take the finished carrots out of the water bath and open the bag.
- Pour the carrots and the melted butter into a serving bowl and serve.
