Recipe for raspberry slices à la grandma
Raspberry Slices a la Grandma.
I’ve embarked on a raspberry slice project, and what could be better than using grandma’s old recipe.
I can only say: They taste fantastic!
Note: the powdered sugar in the recipe is for the shortcrust pastry. Additional powdered sugar is needed for the icing.

Raspberry Slices à la Grandma
Ingredients
- 400 gram Wheat Flour
- 200 gram Butter
- 100 gram Powdered Sugar
- 1 pcs. Egg
- Raspberry Jam preferably homemade
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients together to form an even shortcrust pastry.
- Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Then preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Roll the dough flat to about 0.5 cm.
- Then, use a round object - I used a champagne glass 😉 to cut the dough into suitable sizes.
- You can also make two long plates of the same size.
- Bake the shortcrust pastry in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.
- When the shortcrust pastry is baked, let it cool on a baking rack.
- Then spread half of your shortcrust pastry bases with raspberry and place the other half on top.
- Next, add icing on top and decorate with sprinkles or freeze-dried raspberries.
- If you've baked two long plates, cut them into suitable pieces before the raspberry slices have completely cooled down.
- Store in an airtight container.
