Recipe for sloe gin fizz
Remember the recipe for Gin Fizz? The super classic and most popular within the fizz family of cocktails.
This Sloe Gin Fizz is yet another delicate and creamy cocktail that will surely impress your guests.
You may have heard the name, Sloe Gin, before and thought: “Sloe Gin, what is that?”
Sloe Gin is actually one of the most British things that exist, at least when it comes to beverages and alcohol. It has been especially popular among the British in the countryside.
Sloe, or in Danish “slåen,” is a bitter (very bitter) berry that only grows in the wild. When the fruit ripens in the fall, it’s placed in a sugar solution, which removes the bitter taste – and we get the fantastic marzipan-like flavor that characterizes Sloe Gin. The alcohol content is also a bit lower than in regular gin.
Serve this Glow Gin Fizz as a delicious pre-dinner cocktail and set the tone for a wonderful evening!
