Recipe for easy sausage rolls
Sausage rolls are easy to make, and everyone can join in – both children and adults. Sausage rolls are the kind of cooking that children can participate in without any problems – and they find it fun. Especially when it comes to rolling them into horn shapes.
Here you get a recipe that ensures you and the kids will have delicious, soft, and fluffy sausage rolls that are not dry.
If you make a large batch, you can easily freeze some of them – so you’ll have a tasty snack ready for lunchboxes.

Ingredients
- 9 gram Dry Yeast 25 grams regular yeast
- 12.5 gram Sugar
- 18 gram Coarse salt
- 27 gram Oil
- 650 gram Wheat Flour
- 500 gram Water Lukewarm
- 6 pcs. Sausages Cut in half
- Egg For brushing

- If you’re using a stand mixer, pour the lukewarm water, yeast, sugar, salt, and oil into this bowl. Let the machine run until the yeast is dissolved.
- Add flour gradually until the dough is smooth and pliable.
- Cover your dough with a shower cap and plastic wrap, and let it rise for 30 minutes.

- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll it out into a large rectangle.
- Cut long rectangles from the dough and place the sausages on them. Roll the sausage rolls as shown in the picture.
- Let the sausage rolls proof for 30 minutes under a tea towel.
- Score the dough diagonally and brush the sausage rolls with a beaten egg.
- Bake the sausage rolls in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on the color of the surface.
