Recipe for salad with smoked salmon
If you are into food waste reduction, salads, and salmon, you will love this one 🙂
The great thing about salads is that you can throw almost anything together, depending on what you have on hand. Overall, it’s just about remembering to combine all the basic flavors and mix different textures. That way, it will be just right.
This time, I had some fresh spinach, a bit of melon, and various vegetables left over from the week, and combined with the hot-smoked salmon that my husband made himself, it turned out delicious and very summery!
Hot-smoked salmon, in general, is really fantastic for salads! The smoky, rich flavor is brilliant together with other fresh elements like, for example, fresh, crispy salad leaves and sweet fruit.

Salad with hot-smoked salmon
Ingredients
- Baby Spinach
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Melon
- Asparagus green
- Avocado
- Salmon hot-smoked
Instructions
- Rinse the spinach leaves thoroughly in a colander under running water. They often have a lot of sand on them.
- Rinse the tomato and cucumber and cut them into appropriate pieces.
- Peel the melon and cut it up.
- Rinse the asparagus, snap off the end of them, and cut them into pieces a couple of centimeters long.
- Divide the avocado into two halves and remove the pit. You can easily remove the pit by lightly tapping the knife into the pit and twisting it, so it comes out. Slash a “grid” pattern in each avocado half with a knife and scoop the avocado cubes out in one smooth motion with a tablespoon.
- Mix everything together and place pieces of hot-smoked salmon on top.
- Bon appétit 🙂
