Recipe for rice
How to cook rice so you succeed – every time.
The key to success is to rinse the rice in cold water beforehand and use the 12-12 rule, where they are cooked for 12 minutes and left to rest for 12 minutes afterward.
I personally prefer basmati rice, which I have used for this recipe. They pair well with a pork tenderloin stew, chicken curry, and meatballs in curry.
At home, I usually prepare one cup of rice and two cups of water for two adults and two small children. Generally, 1 dl (1.5 if you are very hungry) is suitable for one adult. You can always make a larger portion, so you can use the leftovers for fried rice.
