This is a true classic that I am sure everyone knows! It even appears in several Christmas songs and is said to be the favorite dish of the elves.

At our home, we also love rice pudding, and I think it’s super easy to make it in the oven.

  • Deciliter Measure
  • Oven
  • Cast Iron Pot
  • Hob

Ingredients

Rice Porridge

  • 250 gram Water
  • 240 gram Porridge Rice
  • 1 l Whole Milk
  • 6 gram Salt

Topping

  • 7.8 gram Cinnamon
  • 85 gram Sugar

Instructions

Rice Pudding in the Oven

  • Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius (248 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan).
  • Put water and rice in a cast iron pot with a lid
  • Bring water and rice to a boil, stirring constantly
  • Add the milk and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly
  • Place the pot in the oven with the lid on; after 10 minutes, stir the pudding, and continue to stir every 10 minutes
  • After 30 minutes, take the pudding out and let it rest for 10 minutes until finished

Topping

  • Mix cinnamon and sugar together
