Delicious rice pudding made in the oven:
December has begun, and it is clearly noticeable in the weather, where a beautiful white blanket has covered Denmark.
And what is more fitting than rice pudding?
This is a true classic that I am sure everyone knows! It even appears in several Christmas songs and is said to be the favorite dish of the elves.
At our home, we also love rice pudding, and I think it’s super easy to make it in the oven.
Therefore, I won’t keep my recipe for the perfect rice pudding from you.

Rice Pudding in the Oven

- Oven
- Cast Iron Pot
- Hob
Ingredients
Rice Porridge
- 250 gram Water
- 240 gram Porridge Rice
- 1 l Whole Milk
- 6 gram Salt
Topping
- 7.8 gram Cinnamon
- 85 gram Sugar
Instructions
Rice Pudding in the Oven
- Preheat the oven to 120 degrees Celsius (248 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan).
- Put water and rice in a cast iron pot with a lid
- Bring water and rice to a boil, stirring constantly
- Add the milk and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly
- Place the pot in the oven with the lid on; after 10 minutes, stir the pudding, and continue to stir every 10 minutes
- After 30 minutes, take the pudding out and let it rest for 10 minutes until finished
Topping
- Mix cinnamon and sugar together
