Recipe for pizza with ham and truffle pesto

This pizza is the ultimate combination of luxury, evoking thoughts of warm skies and summer evenings in Italy.

One of the things that makes for a perfectly delicious, thin, and crispy pizza is high heat (we use a baking steel) and limited toppings.

  • Serrano ham
  • Pesto Green pesto with truffle
  • Mozzarella Chees Steak
  • Parmesan Grated. Can be substituted with grated mozzarella

Instructions

  • Pizza doughI always use a mixer to make my pizza dough:Start by pouring water, sugar, salt, oil, and yeast into the mixing bowl and then attach the dough hook.Stir it well and add a little flour at high speed.Keep adding flour to the dough until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Then it is done kneading.Sprinkle flour on the kitchen counter and knead it into a very tight ball.Grease your bowl with oil and put the dough back in.Cover the bowl with a shower cap or a tea towel and let it rise until needed. This can be anything from 1-4 hours. PizzaPreheat the oven before you start preparing the pizzas. We always bake our pizzas on a baking steel, it helps us achieve the highest possible temperature on our pizza in a regular oven. Then take the dough out of the bowl and divide it into 4 parts.Roll out each of the 4 parts very thinly and place them on parchment paper. The pizzas just need the desired toppings and then go in the oven.We never make tomato sauce, we just take passata directly from the jar and spread it on our pizzas:Then dab with green pesto. On a visit to Salling Super, we found this green pesto with truffle flavor which we used for these pizzas:Then the ham and the cheese are placed on top.Bake them at 275/300 degrees Celsius (572 degrees Fahrenheit) with fan for 4 minutes on a baking steel.Serve immediately and you will get perfect pizzas every time.
