Recipe for mushed potatoes
A slightly different and truly delicious potato side dish that can be served with many different types of meat.
The potatoes are boiled until tender and then lightly mashed with a fork so they open up. They are drizzled with oil and seasoned with paprika and salt, resulting in the most delicious potatoes with a crispy exterior and a soft interior.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Potato
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Paprika
Instructions
- Scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt and debris. Boil the potatoes in a pot with plenty of salted water until tender. Drain the water from the boiled potatoes and let them steam off so the surface dries slightly. Use a fork to “mash” the potatoes, slightly opening them up. Drizzle a little oil over the potatoes and season with salt and paprika. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them at 220 degrees Celsius (428 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 minutes. Grill them for the last couple of minutes to achieve a nice golden surface.
