Recipe for marzipan confections with cherries, chocolate, and almonds
Well, we are definitely not done with Christmas treats! With December just around the corner, here is some more inspiration for you: marzipan bites with preserved cherries, dark chocolate, and chopped almonds.
I personally love making treats, but they should be easy, manageable, and have a reasonably good chance of success. And that is exactly how it is with these wonderful little bites.
The marzipan is rolled around the cherries, cut into slices, dipped in chocolate, and sprinkled with almonds – voila! And they taste delightful.
The slightly tart cherries complement the sweet marzipan so nicely, and crunchy dark chocolate is always delicious. If you prefer milk chocolate or white chocolate, you can use that instead.
Regardless, they are quick and easy and just perfect if you need something for your Christmas table.

- Sprinkle some powdered sugar on the table and use a rolling pin to roll out the marzipan flat, about 5 mm thick. If you have a silicone mat, it can also be used.
- Place the cherries in a row in the middle of the marzipan and then roll the marzipan into a long tube (see the image below if necessary).
- Seal the “tube” at the ends so the cherries don’t fall out.
- Cut the marzipan roll into about 12 equally sized pieces.
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a water bath or in the microwave and dip the marzipan pieces in it. Sprinkle almond slivers on top and put the marzipan pieces in the fridge until the chocolate sets. Serve.
