Recipe for hot cocoa with rum and kahlua

Chocolate, a touch of rum, Kahlua, and vanilla whipped cream – wow, what a mix.

Absolutely perfect as the finale to a good meal – it practically serves as a dessert on its own, or just to enjoy slowly on the couch on a cold winter’s day like today…

This version has received an extra luxurious twist with a chocolate rim and chocolate sprinkles…

Drink from the glass to capture all the flavor nuances; the hot chocolate with a hint of rum, the cold vanilla whipped cream, and the intense chocolate on the rim – your taste buds will sing!

Hot cocoa with rum and Kahlua

Equipment

  • Microwave
  • Cocktail Glass

Ingredients

Cocoa

  • 2 cl Rome
  • 3 cl Kahlua
  • 1.5 tablespoon Cocoa powder Instant
  • 1.5 dl Boiling water

Vanilla Whipped Cream

  • 1 dl Whipping Cream
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Sugar

To the edge

  • 15 gram Dark chocolate melted

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate, e.g., in the microwave.
  • Dip the rim of the glass in the melted chocolate.
  • Put rum, Kahlua, and cocoa powder in the glass.
  • Add the boiling water and stir well until the cocoa is dissolved.
  • Whip the cream to a light foam and fold in the vanilla sugar.
  • Top your glass with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate - serve.
