
Recipe for homemade pickles
Pickles are really delicious in beef sandwiches and burgers, but they can also be used for remoulade.
In addition, pickles are also great for preventing food waste if you have various leftovers in the vegetable drawer.
I found this recipe in the book: “Free-Vegan Food from Café Mikuna“, where we also got the recipe for a vegan version of a beef sandwich.
A good tip is not to discard the juice from your pickles when the jar is empty. You can, for example, use it to tenderize meat, flavor sauces, or add it to the water for potatoes.

Ingredients
- 0.5 pcs. White Cabbage finely shredded
- 1 pcs. Red Onion halved and cut into thin slices
- 1 pcs. Red bell pepper diced
- 0.25 pcs. Cucumber thinly sliced
- 1 bunch Dill finely chopped
- 200 gram Vinegar
- 100 gram Water
- 100 gram Sugar
- 3 gram Salt
Instructions
- Put cabbage, red onion, bell pepper, cucumber, and dill in a bowl and mix together.
- Bring water, vinegar, salt, and sugar to a boil.
- Let it cool slightly before pouring it into the bowl with the vegetable mixture.
- Mix everything together.
- Let your pickles cool down before using.
