Grilled asparagus twisters with sesame are a delightful dish that combines the best of summer grilling with a delicious and crispy puff pastry. These twisters are not only a feast for the eyes but also an exquisite taste experience. The green asparagus are lightly grilled, which enhances their natural sweetness and gives a delicate smoky flavor. The puff pastry, wrapped around the asparagus, becomes crispy and golden during grilling and gains an extra dimension of flavor with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. The creamy and spicy chili mayonnaise dip adds a piquant touch that perfectly complements the crispy twisters. Grilled asparagus twister with sesame

Ingredients

Twisters

  • 10 pcs. Asparagus Green
  • 0,5 package Puff Pastry
  • 50 gram Sesame
  • 1 pcs. Egg beaten
  • Flake Salt

Dip

  • 1 dl Chili Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Prepare the grill with half a chimney of briquettes and heat to indirect heat.
  • Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a hot pan until they are golden and fragrant.
  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 10 thin strips, about 2 cm wide.
  • Snap off the woody ends of the asparagus.
  • Wrap a strip of puff pastry around each asparagus, starting from the bottom and wrapping upwards to the top. Pinch the ends to secure.
  • Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds and flaky salt.
  • Place the asparagus twisters on the grill rack and bake them indirectly for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.
  • Remove from the grill and serve with chili mayonnaise dip.
  • Enjoy!
