Recipe for french fries in airfryer/actifry
Everyone loves French fries and here your Airfryer helps you succeed in a short time with a consistent result, every time.
Although it is not quite the same result as French fries prepared in a deep fryer, you get close while using almost no oil to make them crispy, so this is a low-fat alternative.

French Fries in Airfryer/Actifry
Equipment
- 1 Airfryer or Actifry
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 kg Baked Potato
- 14.8 gram Vinegar
- 36 gram Salt
- 27.6 gram Oil neutral taste
- Salt for seasoning the finished fries
Instructions
- Peel (or don't) the potatoes and cut them into sticks. They should be roughly 1 x 1 cm in thickness.
- Place the potato sticks in a bowl with lukewarm water.
- Drain the water and refill the bowl with lukewarm water.
- Repeat the process once more. Now you will see that the water has become clear, which means most of the starch has been removed from the potatoes.
- Bring a pot of water, vinegar, and salt to a boil and add the potato sticks to it.
- Let it boil for 7 minutes.
- Drain the water from the potatoes and place them on a clean kitchen towel.
- They need to dry and cool down. I usually give them 20-30 minutes in the freezer, so they become cold and dry.
- Put the potatoes in a bag and add 2 tbsp of oil. Close the bag and shake well to distribute the oil.
- Place them in your airfryer/actifry and cook them for 25-30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
- They should change color and then they are ready.
- Pour them out onto a clean kitchen towel and season with salt on top.
- Serve immediately.
