Recipe for dildicious – cocktail with aquavit, dill, and elderflower
Delicious and refreshing cocktail with lots of great flavors.
Here, a combination of elderflower, dill, and cucumbers is used, as these flavors always pair well together. The elderflower liqueur matches the aquavit really well and you get a rich and rounded cocktail that can be used for anything from a welcome drink to a warm summer day on the terrace.
In my work with GastroFun PREMIUM, I am fortunate to meet skilled culinary profiles, and here I have been taught by Burak Morali, who has been a bartender for 20 years and placed 3rd at the Danish Cocktail Championship with this cocktail.

Dildicious - cocktail with aquavit, dill, and elderflower
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Cocktail Glass
Ingredients
Dildicious - cocktail with aquavit, dill and elderflower
- 3.5 cl aquavit Aalborg Jubilæums Akvavit 40%
- 2 cl Liquor Elderflower liqueur
- 5 slices Cucumber
- 3 cl White Wine Chardonnay, preferably somewhat dry
- 2 cl Sugar Syrup
- 1 pcs. egg white
- 2 cl Lemon Juice about 1/2 lemon
- Dill fresh, about 1 handful
Instructions
- Start by adding aquavit and elderflower liqueur into a shaker.
- Cut thin slices of cucumber and add them to the shaker. For example, use a Y-peeler for this.
- Next, add the white wine and sugar syrup to the shaker.
- Finally, add the egg white, lemon juice, and dill.
- Put the lid on the shaker and "dry-shake" it - that is, shake it without ice. This is always done when using egg whites, as the cold will ensure that the egg whites cannot mix with the other ingredients.
- Take off the lid, fill the shaker with ice cubes, put the lid back on, and shake well.
- Put ice cubes in a glass and pour your cocktail through a strainer before it goes into the glass. This way, you won't get any lumps from the dill or cucumbers.
- Cut another thin slice from the cucumber for garnish. Roll it up on a toothpick and place it on top of the glass. Optionally, garnish with a bit of dill on top.
- Cheers.
