Recipe for classic hot dog with red sausage
This classic hotdog with red sausage is a recipe from Jesper Græm, who is known for his expertise in grill bar dishes.
The red sausage is a classic delicacy with a long history in Denmark. Originally, they were dyed red to stand out from other sausages and attract attention in the cold counter. For many years, the red sausage was a staple at Danish grill bars and summer barbecues. However, today we see it less often due to a greater focus on health and natural ingredients, and many have chosen to switch to more unprocessed foods. Nonetheless, the red sausage still evokes nostalgic memories and can provide an authentic experience of the good old days when one occasionally chooses to enjoy this iconic sausage. It has its charm, and although it may not be as popular as it once was, it remains a part of our food culture. Let’s take a trip back in time and enjoy a classic hot dog with red sausage – a simple but tasty dish that can bring smiles to both children and adults.
