Recipe for chili con carne with chocolate and cinnamon

A good chili con carne should have depth of flavor and preferably contain several types of chili.

Especially the smoked chipotle chili is truly delicious and highly recommended.

Cumin, cinnamon, and dark chocolate are also essential.

Don’t be put off by the chocolate – it fits well in the amounts used in the recipe below.

You can detect the chocolate, which rounds off the chili’s heat with sweetness and umami without overwhelming it.

A good accompaniment is a fresh guacamole with lime and some tortilla chips.

This provides acidity, richness, and crunch as a counterbalance to the umami-heavy chili con carne.
