Belgian Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 pcs. Egg
- 300 gram Milk
- 250 gram Wheat Flour
- 14.4 gram Baking Soda
- 6 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 70 gram Sugar
- 200 gram Butter melted
- Butter extra for baking
- 75 gram Dark chocolate
- 0.25 l Whipping Cream
Instructions
Hot Chocolate Sauce:
- Pour the cream into a heavy-bottomed pot and bring it to a boil.
- Let the cream boil at medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 3 minutes.
- Chop the chocolate finely.
- Take the pot off the heat and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted.
- Reheat the chocolate sauce at medium heat, stirring constantly.
Belgian Waffles:
- Combine eggs and milk in a bowl.
- Whisk together using an electric mixer (or use a stand mixer).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
- Add the dry ingredients to the milk/egg mixture.
- Stir everything well together.
- Lastly, add the melted butter to the batter.
- Heat a Belgian waffle iron with a little butter.
- Bake the waffles until golden and crispy.
- Serve the Belgian waffles with homemade vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce.
