Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 pcs. Egg
  • 300 gram Milk
  • 250 gram Wheat Flour
  • 14.4 gram Baking Soda
  • 6 gram Vanilla Sugar
  • 70 gram Sugar
  • 200 gram Butter melted
  • Butter extra for baking
  • 75 gram Dark chocolate
  • 0.25 l Whipping Cream

Instructions

  • Hot Chocolate Sauce:

  • Pour the cream into a heavy-bottomed pot and bring it to a boil.
  • Let the cream boil at medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 3 minutes.
  • Chop the chocolate finely.
  • Take the pot off the heat and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted.
  • Reheat the chocolate sauce at medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • Belgian Waffles:

  • Combine eggs and milk in a bowl.
  • Whisk together using an electric mixer (or use a stand mixer).
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the milk/egg mixture.
  • Stir everything well together.
  • Lastly, add the melted butter to the batter.

  • Heat a Belgian waffle iron with a little butter.
  • Bake the waffles until golden and crispy.

  • Serve the Belgian waffles with homemade vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce.
