The sheet pan pizza from our childhood

Recipe for 90’s pizza
In our childhood (in the 1990s), we grew up with a sheet pan pizza with a thick crust and meat sauce on top.
It tasted good back then, and it still does.
Our recipe is easy, fast, and delicious.

Ingredients
- 1 kg Pizza Flour Or all-purpose flour, tipo 00
- 50 gram Yeast
- 12 gram Salt
- 12.5 gram Sugar
- 500 gram Water
- 42 gram Oil
Instructions
Pizza dough
- Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water.
- Whisk the mixture with a whisk, so the yeast dissolves quickly.
- Add sugar, salt, and oil and stir again.
- Stir the flour into the yeast liquid. Add only a little at a time, so the dough doesn't become too dry.
- Let the dough rise covered for 30 minutes.
Pizza
- Roll out the dough so it fits the size of a sheet pan.
- Place the dough in the sheet pan, lined with baking paper.
- Spread the meat sauce over the base (We recommend this meat sauce).
- Bake the pizza at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan) for 20 minutes.
- Check that the base is fully baked; it should sound hollow when tapped.
