Recipe for homemade pan bread
Flatbread is a wonderful accompaniment to dinner or to complement a lunch salad. And skillet bread is one of the easiest flatbreads you can make, and they even taste delightful!
You can serve them with almost anything, from various meat dishes to salad and soup.

Flatbread is, of course, also an essential part of Middle Eastern cuisine. They are really delicious with some homemade hummus, and they will also be PERFECT filled with meat and vegetables and perhaps a bit of garlic crème fraîche dressing – a bit like this truly fantastic (and vegan) dish with vegan meatballs served in flatbread.
The amount of flour you need can vary between 200 – 300 grams, depending on the humidity. In this recipe, I ended up somewhere in between.

Flatbread Recipe

Ingredients
- 5 gram Yeast
- 300 gram Water lukewarm
- 18 gram Salt
- 250 gram Wheat Flour about
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
- Let the dough rise for 45 – 60 minutes.
- Then place a Teflon pan on the stove and turn it on medium-high heat.
- Pour a portion of dough onto the hot pan.
- Bake the bread for 4 minutes on each side.
- Take the finished bread off the pan. Keep the breads warm in a tea towel while you make the remaining ones. The bread will become hard as it cools, so they should be eaten while deliciously warm 🙂
