
Recipe for the perfect welcoming drink
Cocktails and food go hand in hand.
Just like pairing wine/beer with food, cocktails open up a completely new world of flavors and combinations.
However, one does not have to exclude the other, and today’s cocktail is a really good and refreshing take on just that!
A welcome drink should preferably not be too sweet, as sweetness has a “satiating” effect. Your guests’ appetites should be whetted, not dulled, before they’ve even sat down.
Therefore, I have created a cocktail that has freshness, lightness, and a good balance between sour and sweet.
Make it in front of your guests, and you’ll have set the bar high for the rest of the event.

The perfect welcoming drink
Ingredients
- 4 cl Gin
- 2 cl Liquor Rhubarb liqueur
- 2 cl Sake
- 6 cl Sparkling Water can be up to 8 cl
- 2 cl Red Wine Amarone
- Ice Cubes
Instructions
- Shake gin, liqueur, and sake with plenty of ice.
- Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with soda water.
- Gently pour Amarone over the drink.
- Enjoy it.
