Recipe for pink gløgg with rosé wine, cranberry juice, and orange
Good morning and happy first Advent out there….
Is gløgg on the menu for you today…?
If you feel like trying an alternative to the classic gløgg, I can recommend this lovely one made with rosé wine, cranberry juice, and a splash of sherry. This gløgg is packed with flavor, and I can almost guarantee that it will warm you up all the way down.
The gløgg is flavored with orange, ginger, a bit of star anise, and sugar – it tastes absolutely wonderful and can be adjusted in sweetness, juice, and strength just as you like.
Easy to make and perfect with æbleskiver and some cozy sofa time.

Pink gløgg with rosé wine, cranberry juice, and orange

- 2 dl Water
- 2-3 pcs. Star Anise whole
- 3 cm Fresh ginger sliced
- 1/2 tablespoon Orange Peel grated
- 1 pcs. Orange sliced
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 bottle Rosé Wine
- 1 dl Sherry sweet
- 50 gram Dried cranberry

Instructions
- Warm up cranberry juice, water, star anise, ginger, orange peel, orange slices, and sugar in a pot - let it simmer under a lid for about 10 minutes.
- Strain the star anise, ginger slices, and orange slices out and put the gløgg back in the pot.
- Add rosé wine, sherry, cranberries, and optionally almond slivers, and warm the gløgg to a suitable temperature - but do not let it boil, as the alcohol will evaporate.
- Adjust the taste with sugar and possibly more water or sherry, and serve in glasses - optionally with an orange slice as a garnish.
