Toast with ham, cheese, and mustard mayo

Oh, such a good old-fashioned toast – it's not a bad way to start the day… Crunchy on the outside with soft, melted cheese inside, flavorful Parma ham, parsley, and fresh tomatoes… Spice it up with a bit of mustard mayo, and you have a rather heavenly breakfast or lunch in no time…

Equipment

  • 1 Panini grill optional
  • 1 Oven optional
  • 1 Toaster optional

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Bread
  • 28 gram Mayonnaise
  • 15 gram Dijon Mustard
  • 1 package Parma Ham about 70 grams
  • 4 slices cheese choose what you like best
  • 1 handful Broad leaf parsley or arugula or other greens as desired
  • 8 pcs. Tomato plum/cherry tomatoes
  • Olive Oil a bit, for brushing

Instructions

  • Mix mayonnaise and Dijon together and spread it on your slices of bread.
  • Divide parsley, cheese, ham, and tomato on half of the bread slices and place the other half of the bread slices on top, making 4 sandwiches.
  • Brush the bread with oil and prepare the toasts in a toaster, in a panini press, or in the oven. They can also be fried on a (grill) pan. Bon appétit!
