Ingredients

  • 35 gram Yeast
  • 300 gram Water cold
  • 10 gram Salt
  • 65 gram Sugar
  • 1 pcs. Egg
  • 50 cloves Butter
  • 625 gram Wheat Flour
  • 1 pcs. Egg for brushing

Instructions

  • -Crumble the yeast into a mixing bowl or dough bowl and stir with a hand whisk until the yeast is completely dissolved.
  • Add salt, sugar, beaten egg and stir it into the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add the flour, stirring until the dough is smooth and comes away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the dough.
  • Thoroughly knead the butter into the dough.
  • Cover the bowl with the dough at room temperature and cover the bowl.
  • Let the dough rise for 30 minutes. You can also place the dough in the refrigerator overnight if you prefer.
  • Divide the dough into 10 pieces and shape them into rolls.
  • Place them on a baking tray with parchment paper. Ensure there is enough space between the rolls so they don't merge during rising.
  • Let the rolls rise again for 2-3 hours.
  • Brush the rolls with beaten egg to give them a beautiful, shiny surface. Bake the rolls for 10-12 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Allow the finished rolls to cool on a wire rack.
