Ingredients

  • 6 pcs. Sausages Buy some good, meaty sausages of good quality
  • 2 pcs. Onion
  • 1 pcs. Red bell pepper
  • 700 gram Potato
  • 30 gram Tomato Puree
  • 34 gram Ketchup
  • 4.6 gram Sweet paprika
  • 150 gram Cream
  • 150 gram Milk
  • Spices salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch Chives
  • Butter for frying
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Boil the potatoes until they are just tender. Pour cold water over them and let them cool. Peel them and cut them into slices or cubes.
  • Peel and chop the onions into coarse cubes.
  • Clean the bell pepper and cut it into small cubes.
  • Cut the sausages into slices about 1 centimeter thick.
  • Heat a large, deep frying pan (preferably a sauté pan) with butter and oil and fry the onions and sausages for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
  • Add the bell pepper and continue frying. It should take on a light color and become golden, but it should not burn under any circumstances.
  • Add tomato paste and fry briefly (this develops the flavor).
  • Add paprika, ketchup, milk, and cream and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • Add the potatoes in cubes or slices and let them cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Season the dish with salt and pepper and sprinkle with finely chopped chives before serving.

Notes

Optionally, add more vegetables to the dish if you want a slightly healthier version. You can, for example, add bell peppers in different colors or carrot and zucchini in smaller pieces.
