Instructions
Boil the potatoes until they are just tender. Pour cold water over them and let them cool. Peel them and cut them into slices or cubes.
Peel and chop the onions into coarse cubes.
Clean the bell pepper and cut it into small cubes.
Cut the sausages into slices about 1 centimeter thick.
Heat a large, deep frying pan (preferably a sauté pan) with butter and oil and fry the onions and sausages for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
Add the bell pepper and continue frying. It should take on a light color and become golden, but it should not burn under any circumstances.
Add tomato paste and fry briefly (this develops the flavor).
Add paprika, ketchup, milk, and cream and let it simmer for a few minutes.
Add the potatoes in cubes or slices and let them cook for 5-10 minutes.
Season the dish with salt and pepper and sprinkle with finely chopped chives before serving.

Notes
Optionally, add more vegetables to the dish if you want a slightly healthier version. You can, for example, add bell peppers in different colors or carrot and zucchini in smaller pieces.
