We give you a simple and easy recipe for delicious meringue peaks. Meringues are essentially a meringue peak that is slightly chewy in the middle. They are child-friendly and can either be flavored with various tastes or made in different colors. We use food coloring to dye them green, yellow, and blue.
Mix the egg yolks and powdered sugar in a bowl and whisk stiffly with either a whisk or electric mixer.
When the mixture is stiff enough that you can turn the bowl upside down without it falling out, you have the desired consistency for your meringue.
Divide the mixture into three smaller bowls and add a bit of food coloring in the colors green, yellow, and blue. Gently fold the mixture with a spatula until the color is evenly distributed.
Put the mixtures into 3 different piping bags and choose nozzle tips according to the desired appearance.
Bake them in the oven for 1 hour at 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) and let them cool.
