Italian pizza

Here is the recipe for how to get delicious, crispy pizza crusts like the ones you know from Italy. The key is to use the right pizza flour and to bake your pizza correctly - that is, very hot and one at a time!

Prep Time: 2 hours 40 minutes
Cook Time: 4 minutes

Ingredients

  • 50 gram Yeast
  • 600 gram Water Lukewarm
  • 25 gram Sugar
  • 12 gram Salt
  • 54 gram Olive Oil
  • 1000 kg Pizza Flour Tipo 00
  • tomato sauce
  • Pesto
  • Mozzarella Chees
  • Parma Ham
  • Grated cheese

Instructions

  • Pour lukewarm water into a bowl and dissolve the yeast in it.
  • Then stir in the salt, sugar, and oil.
  • Gradually sift in the salt into the mixture. Knead the dough well on a floured surface.
  • Place the dough back in the bowl with a little oil at the bottom.
  • Let the dough rise for about 2 hours with airtight plastic wrap over it.
  • Then knead the dough well again. Divide the dough into 8-12 pieces - depending on how big or small you want the pizzas. If you prefer fewer large pizzas, simply divide the dough fewer times.
  • Roll them into balls and place them in a baking pan greased with oil. Sprinkle the dough with flour and cover the pan with a damp cloth.
  • Let the dough rise again for 30-60 minutes.
  • When the dough is ready, roll the balls out into thin, round pizzas.
  • Then add the desired toppings.
  • Here we use a good tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, green pesto, Parma ham, and grated cheese.
  • Bake one pizza at a time on a baking sheet, pizza stone, or baking steel in the oven at 275 degrees Celsius (527 degrees Fahrenheit) with fan for about 4 minutes.

Notes

We recommend this homemade pesto.
