Ingredients

  • 190 gram Mayonnaise Homemade or Miracle Whip
  • 45 gram Sour Cream
  • 2.5 gram Dijon Mustard
  • 27 gram Capers chopped
  • 45 gram Cornichons chopped
  • 0.5 pcs. Shallots finely chopped, use a regular onion if you don't have shallot
  • 3 gram Chives finely chopped
  • 4 gram Parsley finely chopped
  • Spices Salt and pepper
  • Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • I usually make my own mayonnaise. I find that store-bought versions are typically a bit too sweet. I typically use this immersion blender mayonnaise recipe, but without cayenne pepper. Since there is mustard in my mayo, I don't add mustard to my tartar sauce.
  • Mix mayonnaise and crème fraîche together in a bowl. Add mustard.
  • Finely chop all ingredients and add them to the mixture.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
