Cold caramel sauce
Homemade caramel sauce is surprisingly easy to make, and the taste is nothing short of top-notch! The sauce is naturally a perfect accompaniment to ice cream, cakes, and tarts, but it can also be used as caramel filling in other recipes.

Instructions
Melt the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Pour the cream into the melted sugar mixture and remove the saucepan from the heat.
Let it sit and cool for about 3 minutes.
Put the saucepan back on the heat and let the contents simmer until the sugar mixture is dissolved into the cream.
Pass the caramel sauce through a sieve into a bowl.
Refrigerate the bowl until the sauce is needed.
