
Recipe for cold caramel sauce
Homemade caramel sauce is surprisingly easy to make, and the taste is nothing short of top-notch!
The sauce is naturally a perfect accompaniment to ice cream, cakes, and pies, but it can also be used as a caramel filling in other recipes.
The sauce can be stored covered in the refrigerator for about a week.

Cold caramel sauce
Ingredients
- 100 gram Sugar
- 200 gram Whipping Cream
Instructions
- Melt the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Pour the cream into the melted sugar mixture and remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Let it sit and cool for about 3 minutes.
- Put the saucepan back on the heat and let the contents simmer until the sugar mixture is dissolved into the cream.
- Pass the caramel sauce through a sieve into a bowl.
- Refrigerate the bowl until the sauce is needed.
- The caramel sauce is a perfect accompaniment to ice cream or cake, or it can be used as caramel filling in a Mars bar.
