Add yeast, salt, sugar, and oil to a mixing bowl with lukewarm water. Dissolve the yeast in the water.
Grate the washed carrots and add them to the mixing bowl.
Mix in the whole wheat flour gradually until you have a slightly sticky dough.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes under a shower cap or plastic wrap.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, divide it into 10 pieces, and shape them into rolls.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet with parchment paper and let them rise for 30 minutes under a tea towel.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) (fan) and bake the rolls for 10-15 minutes on the bottom shelf.
Allow the rolls to cool on a wire rack.
