Caesar salad with homemade croutons and crème fraîche dressing
Caesar salad is one of those salads that is always a hit at home; simple and with few ingredients, but ingredients that just go well together in a salad that just tastes delicious! Caesar salad consists of fresh romaine lettuce tossed in a homemade crème fraîche dressing, grilled chicken, plenty of parmesan, and crispy croutons on top – yum, what a winner.

Start by cutting the bread into cubes and toss with oil, salt, and thyme. Spread out on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit), regular oven – turn a couple of times.
Cut the chicken into cubes and brown in a pan with some butter, season with salt and pepper.
Blend all the ingredients for the dressing together.
Rinse and cut the lettuce into small pieces and toss with the dressing – possibly save a little for serving.
Arrange the salad on plates and top with chicken, parmesan, and croutons – serve
