Instructions
Mix flour and sugar in a bowl. Crumble in your margarine/butter into the dough.
Peel and slice the apples.
Place the apples at the bottom of an ovenproof dish so that they are well covered (about 5-6 apples).
Place the dough over the apples in small dollops.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 40-45 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream and crème fraîche.
This cake can be served as a dessert and tastes best when warm.

The apples can be replaced with any type of fruit, although fruit with acidity is particularly suitable.
