Tortilla Trend (wraps with fillings)

Simone Schou13. January 2021
Basically, you divide your wrap into 4 sections, where you add the fillings. In the sweet kitchen, it can be strawberries, Nutella/chocolate, biscuits, and cream cheese, but don't limit yourself, the possibilities are endless.

Recipe for tortilla trend (wraps with fillings)

Do you use Instagram or TikTok? Then you’ve probably come across The Tortilla Trend, which has recently gone viral.

Just as Dalgona Coffee was everywhere in the spring, the internet is now flooded with these wraps, and that’s why I decided to try it myself.

Basically, it’s a food hack that makes it super quick to prepare dinner, lunch, or even desserts.

Fundamentally, you divide your wrap into 4 sections, where you add the fillings. In the sweet kitchen, it could be strawberries, Nutella/chocolate, biscuits, and cream cheese, but don’t limit yourself; the possibilities are endless.

My version was with leftovers from a Bolognese, tomatoes/bell peppers/red onions, grated cheese, and salsa sauce.

Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Cutting Board
  • Chef'S Knife
  • Scissors

Ingredients

  • Meat Sauce cooked bolognese
  • Grated cheese
  • Tomato
  • Red bell pepper
  • Red Onion
  • Salsa
  • 1 pcs. Tortillas

Instructions

  • You can use a frying pan or toaster for the dish. I fried mine in the pan.
  • Turn on the heat of the pan.
  • Cut onion, tomato, and bell pepper into smaller pieces.
  • Place your tortilla on the kitchen counter.
  • Use scissors to cut it from the center outward.
  • Place the cut hole downward towards yourself.
  • Put filling in the part closest to you on the right side.
  • Continue filling the next section on the right side.
  • Repeat for the last two sections.
  • Now fold the first layer on the right side up over the second layer on the right side.
  • Then fold it to the left and finally over the last layer.
  • Now you have something that looks like a nice fan.
  • Fry it in the pan or toaster. If using a pan, make sure to flip it.
  • The dish is ready when the wrap is crispy on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  • Bon appétit.
