Recipe for tequila sunrise
There are many reasons to love a tequila sunrise. It is quick and easy to make, even at short notice, it looks exotic, and it is delightfully refreshing and fruity.
You don’t need any special bartender skills to create the distinctive “sunrise” effect that characterizes a tequila sunrise, as the effect happens automatically. Grenadine is the syrup that gives the cocktail its red color, and because it is heavier than the orange juice, it sinks to the bottom of the glass. The most important thing is just not to stir the drink after the syrup has been added!

- Deciliter Measure
- Tall drinking glass
- Bar Spoon
Ingredients
- Ice Cubes
- 5 cl Tequila
- 10 cl Orange Juice
- 2 cl Rose's Grenadine
Instructions
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour tequila and orange juice into the glass and stir.
- Add grenadine last, let it sink to the bottom to create the "sunrise" effect.
- Serve.
