Slow-Grilled Beef Rolls with Filling

- Grill Grill Temperature: 100/160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Roasting Pan
- Butcher'S Twine
Ingredients
- 800 gram Minute Steak or veal fillet in slices
- 60 gram Mustard
- 4 slices Bacon in thick slices
- 1 pcs. Onion in rings
- 4 pcs. Pickles in slices
- 6 gram Salt
- 1.5 gram Pepper coarse
- ½ l Beef Stock
- 18 gram Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic mashed
- 4 pcs. Bay Leaf
- 16 gram Cornstarch
- 100 gram Water
- 300 gram Cream
- Fresh thyme
Instructions
Kitchen
- Place the meat between 2 layers of plastic wrap and flatten it.
- Spread 1 tbsp of mustard on each steak. Add bacon, onion rings, and pickled cucumber slices on top.
- Roll the meat and tie the roll with a string, or use a toothpick to seal.
- Prepare a roasting pan with beef stock, pepper, salt, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, and mashed garlic.
- Mix cream with cornstarch.
Grill
- Set the grill to 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit) (gas grill indirect heat)
- Place the beef rolls on the grill and grill for about 2.5 hours.
- Turn up the grill to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Place the roasting pan on the grill and put the beef rolls into the liquid. Grill for 45 minutes.
- Pour the cream mixture and fresh thyme sprigs over and grill for another 15 minutes.
Serve
- Serve with halved boiled potatoes in a dish, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and grilled for 15 minutes.
