Recipe for simple tomato/avocado salad with glaze

Super simple and really wonderful, tasty salad… seasoned avocado, tomato, and mozzarella with glaze and fresh basil.

The creamy mozzarella and mild avocado compliment the fresh tomatoes perfectly, and the spices and glaze highlight the flavors in the best way. This salad is delightful in the summer with large sun-ripe tomatoes, but it also tastes fantastic the rest of the year.

Ready in just a few minutes and can be eaten as it is with a good slice of bread or used as a side dish for almost anything.

You can buy ready-made balsamic glaze or make your own by reducing balsamic vinegar to a thicker, richer glaze. Simply put it in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat until about half of the liquid has evaporated. Once cooled, it gets a syrupy consistency that tastes delightful and is perfect for salads.
