Recipe for screwdriver
The beauty of the classic screwdriver with vodka and orange juice lies in its simplicity! It doesn’t get easier, and it’s a great base for further experimentation.
The exact origin of this drink is not completely certain, but it can be traced back to 1949, where it is mentioned in some literature. Essentially, it’s not a particularly old drink. Some believe that it was American pilots who came up with the idea of mixing vodka and orange juice.
There are also some who believe that it was American oil workers who invented the drink, and it got the name “screwdriver” because they used a screwdriver to stir it when there wasn’t a spoon handy.
