Delicious and easy on the menu….? Try these pita breads with chicken kebab, tzatziki, and tomato – sooo good! And both easy and quick to make..
The chicken needs to marinate a bit in a bunch of delicious spices – it can be done half an hour in advance if you’re in a hurry or several hours in advance if you want to prep. Then just fry it in the pan. The tzatziki takes 10 minutes to whip up, and then it’s just a matter of warming the breads and stuffing them with good things.
You can make your own pita breads, but you can also buy some really delicious ready-to-use ones – often found frozen, the really good ones.
The chicken, which is seasoned and a bit spicy, goes super well with the fresh tzatziki – a lovely dish on days when you want a bit of luxury but easy.

Pita Bread with Chicken Kebab and Tzatziki
Ingredients
Chicken Kebab
- 400 gram Chicken Fillet
- 69 gram Olive Oil
- 3 gram Cumin
- 2 cloves Garlic pressed
- 8 gram Sambal Oelek
- 1 gram Oregano dried
- 1 gram Thyme dried
- 3 gram Salt and Pepper little - freshly ground
Tzatziki
- 2 pcs. Cucumber
- 306 gram Greek Yoghurt
- 2 cloves Garlic pressed
- Salt and Pepper
In addition
- 4 pcs. pita bread big and good
- 2 pcs. Tomato sliced
- 1/2 Iceberg salad or other green salad
Instructions
Chicken Kebab
- Cut the fillets into thin slices and mix them with oil, spices, and sambal oelek, let marinate for 30 min or more.
Tzatziki
- Halve the cucumbers lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Grate the cucumbers on the coarse side of the grater and press out all the liquid, possibly through a sieve.
- Mix the grated cucumbers with yogurt and garlic, and season with salt and pepper.
- Now you can warm the bread and fry the chicken pieces in a pan – cook until they are lightly browned and cooked through.
- Fill the bread with salad, chicken, tzatziki, and tomato – serve.
