Recipe for pickled cucumber strips
I don’t like pickled cucumber slices because they often have an unpleasant texture and are difficult to distribute over the food you are eating them with.
Therefore, I cut them into strips, and it works perfectly, while also looking better than slices.

Ingredients
- 0.5 pcs. Cucumber Washed thoroughly
- 100 gram Vinegar Distilled vinegar, clear
- 100 gram Water
- 42.5 gram Sugar
Instructions
- Cut the cucumber and let it drain in a sieve or colander. I used a spiralizer to get the desired thickness. Feel free to add a bit of salt.
Heat water, vinegar, and sugar until it lightly boils and continue boiling until the sugar dissolves. - Fill the jar with cucumber strips, firmly packing them to avoid loose layers. Ensure the strips are not too long; it's better to have several shorter ones.
- I often add a handful of peppercorns to the jar.
Pour the hot brine over and seal the lid. - Allow to cool and let it sit for at least 3-4 hours before they are ready to eat.
Notes
However, they never last that long in our house 🙂
