Recipe for mars chocolate milkshake

The weather is absolutely delightful these days, and it calls for some cool refreshments! Last Friday, I promised my daughter that we would have ice cream on Saturday, so she didn’t do anything but impatiently wait for ice cream from the moment she woke up.

Lesson learned for dad.

It turned into a cozy project with some Mars ice cream we already had in the freezer. A MUCHO sweet milkshake – probably a bit too sweet. It’s as if it became too much when transformed into a liquid form, because I don’t think it’s that overwhelming as just ice cream – even though Mars ice cream IS sweet!

I’ve actually heard rumors that Mars bars contain “anti-emetic agents” because they are so sweet. I didn’t have any of that on hand, so maybe that’s the problem! 😉 Maybe an idea for a new recipe?

Until then, the solution might be to add a bit of vanilla ice cream to the blender. That will be my plan for next time!

Cook Time: 2 minutes

Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoon Ice Mars ice cream
  • 10 pcs. Ice Cubes
  • 0.5 liters Whole Milk

Instructions

    1. Put all ingredients in a blender, but hold back a little with the milk - start by adding 2/3 of it.
    2. Blend everything well together.
    3. Add the remaining milk little by little until you reach the desired thickness. Some prefer a thin milkshake, while others want it thick. Mine was probably somewhere in between.
    4. Pour the milkshake into glasses and serve with a straw.
