Recipe for green pesto
Homemade green pesto is an easy and delicious way to spice up a dish. For example, it can be a sandwich, pizza, pasta, or potato salad.
Our version here is made with fresh herbs from the garden – we use basil, parsley, and a bit of sage, but you can use any herbs you like; for example, oregano and mint can also be included.

Green pesto
Ingredients
- Herbs Parsley, sage, basil, oregano, and rosemary
- 2 cloves Garlic
- Salt
- 0.5 pcs. Lemon the juice of 1/2 lemon
- 50 gram Parmesan Grated
- 30 gram Cashews
- 30 gram Almonds
Instructions
- I harvested my herb bed, in my case, I had parsley, sage, basil, oregano, and rosemary (Sage and rosemary are very dominant, so you might want to use them sparingly). Scald them briefly to kill any soil bacteria.
- Blend herbs with 2 cloves of garlic, salt, the juice of 1/2 lemon, 50 g finely grated parmesan, 1/2 dl cashew nuts, 1/2 dl almonds, and oil as needed.
- Start with 1 dl and then add more as needed!
