Recipe for gode råd (goed raj)
This delicious South Jutland classic “Gode råd” (Goed raj) is a guaranteed hit and if you’re from South Jutland, it will bring back only good childhood memories.
This recipe is from a family member and written down in 1979:
First of all, you need a heck of a lot of patience.

Ingredients
- 250 gram Margarine
- 250 gram Powdered Sugar
- 250 gram Wheat Flour
- 250 gram Potato Flour
- 4 pcs. Egg
- 4 gram Vanilla Sugar
- 2 gram Cardamom Only if you like the taste. We have omitted it in ours
Instructions
- The margarine is melted and the confectioner's sugar is added and stirred.The eggs and "spices" are then added.The flours are then gradually added until the mixture has a pancake/waffle batter consistency.The "Gode Råd" should be baked for 2 minutes on each side on a special gode råd iron (which can be purchased here).
