
Recipe for fiber rolls
What do you say to a delightful Sunday bake in the form of delicious, soft fiber rolls…?
These rolls are made with wheat bran, which are fiber-rich outer layers that add both dietary fiber and flavor to the baked goods.
These rolls are easy to make and keep you full for longer – perfect as breakfast rolls for a good, solid start to the day or for lunchboxes and outings.
At the same time, they are both airy and soft.
They don’t take long to stir together and taste wonderful.

Equipment
- Bowl
- Oven
- Baking Tray
- Brush
Ingredients
Fiber Balls
- 700 gram Water
- 50 gram Yeast
- 45 gram Oil
- 200 gram Wheat Bran
- 120 gram Seeds mixed seeds, e.g. sunflower seeds and flax seeds
- 6 gram Salt
- 12 gram Sugar
- 700 gram Wheat Flour
In addition
- Milk for brushing
- Muesli for sprinkling
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in the water.
- Stir in all the other ingredients and knead the dough on a floured surface.
- Add more flour as needed. The dough should be firm and elastic but slightly moist.
- Leave to rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit), regular oven.
- Shape into 18 rolls and place on a baking sheet. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Brush with milk and optionally sprinkle with some oats or seeds.
- Bake for about 15 minutes in the preheated oven until they are golden and thoroughly baked. Serve.
